By this Acceptance and Membership Agreement, the institution identified above, herein represented by its legal representative, hereinafter referred to as the ADHERING INSTITUTION, expresses its acceptance and formalizes its membership in FOUP, under the terms and conditions set out below.

Clauses

  1. Participation commitment. Upon signature of this agreement, the ADHERING INSTITUTION undertakes to interact with and contribute to FOUP's coordination in the agendas for the structuring and planning of its actions, as well as to appoint representatives to the technical meetings dedicated to that purpose. Other commitments may be established by mutual agreement over the course of the execution of FOUP's actions, including the proposal of mapping exercises, events, studies, research and other relevant initiatives.

  2. Use of marks. The ADHERING INSTITUTION authorizes the use of its logo, without a slogan, to be included in the group of members and supporters on the website and in the materials related to FOUP. In return, it is authorized to publicize its membership in its institutional materials and channels, and may use the FOUP mark in accordance with the visual identity guidelines provided by FOUP's coordination.

  3. Absence of burdens. Membership in FOUP does not create any legal or financial commitments on the part of the ADHERING INSTITUTION, nor any employment relationship with the representatives appointed to join FOUP's planning and operational teams.

  4. Nature of FOUP. The ADHERING INSTITUTION declares that it is aware that FOUP is a movement dedicated to generating knowledge and actions for the purpose of promoting and disseminating peace in its broadest sense, without partisan political positions, led and coordinated by its proposing team, with Higher Education Institutions as the technical basis of the movement and of its actions.

  5. Peace as a strategic pillar. Upon joining, the ADHERING INSTITUTION shall endeavor to map its actions and projects related to the theme of peace and to incorporate that theme as a strategic guiding principle of its work.

  6. Prohibitions. The ADHERING INSTITUTION is aware that it may not use FOUP for partisan political or ideological actions, or for actions serving private and personal interests, under penalty of exclusion from FOUP's membership.

  7. Technical composition. As of this agreement, the ADHERING INSTITUTION becomes part of the group of Higher Education Institutions that forms the technical basis of FOUP, and may be involved, through its legal and appointed representatives, in the planning and action groups organized as from this membership phase.

  8. Term and withdrawal. The term of this agreement is 5 (five) years, counted from the date of its signature. Withdrawal or termination may take place at any time, upon notice given by e-mail or other suitable means of communication 30 (thirty) days in advance, without giving rise to any obligation or burden for the parties.

And, being in agreement, the parties sign this Acceptance and Membership Agreement so that it may take effect.
