The International Center for Advanced Studies and Research for Peace and Innovation – CIEPI is a center of excellence dedicated to producing innovative knowledge and promoting peace from peace itself, based on a propositional, scientific, and holistic perspective.
The International Center for Advanced Studies and Research for Peace and Innovation – CIEPI is a strategic initiative of the Forum of Universities for Peace – FOUP, a network that brings together higher education institutions from several countries and whose relevance lies in providing intelligence, cutting-edge research, and institutional coordination for peacebuilding.
The contribution of universities through studies and research is fundamental to building a culture of peace. As agents of transformation, they educate people who are aware of and committed to peace, and they are privileged spaces for generating knowledge, creativity, and innovation. By bringing these institutions together, this initiative strengthens collaboration and drives the production of knowledge about peace in a collaborative and innovative way.
CIEPI counts on the participation of hundreds of higher education institutions, through designated researchers, with the goal of strengthening academic networks and fostering institutional alliances aimed at consolidating positive peace policies, guided by the universal principles of fraternity, equality, and the pursuit of knowledge.
The creation of the International Center for Advanced Studies and Research for Peace will contribute significantly to building a lasting and sustainable culture of peace, with an eye on the challenges of our time, connecting innovation as a central element of transformation.
